When I was a kid, I remember enjoying summer camp but hating how it meant I wasn't going to be able to play my regular D&D game that week. It appears Dungeons & Cabins have solved that particular conundrum:

This one-of-a-kind camp merges classic summer camp activities with a weekend long D&D campaign — and what you do at camp affects the story unfolding at the table. It will take place September 12-15 and again September 26-29. Both sessions will run the Season 2 storyline, which doesn’t rely on attending camp previously.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the idyllic San Bernardino National Forest in Southern California, Dungeons & Cabins invites campers to play, compete, and make friends in an experience where winning archery or tug of war could earn you magic items or tactical advantages, and sharing notes with the other parties could shift the course of the campaign.

Dungeon Masters this year are Alec the Bard (Alec Lachman), Alicia Marie, and Leon Barillaro, Catieosaurus (Cate Osborn), James Haeck, Sammy Glicker, Zach Macias, and Eliam Weinstock. The sessions this year include:

  • A weekend-long, epic campaign ran by professional Dungeon Masters
  • Classic summer camp activities
  • Themed party versus party events
  • Evening gaming and camaraderie at “the tavern
  • Temperature-controlled cabins and communal spaces
  • Professional on-site chefs and bakers
"If you’ve never been to summer camp, it’s a special kind of magic," says Sammy Glicker, Founder of Dungeons & Cabins. "We’re building a community where you can make friends as easily as if you were a kid again. Where work emails don’t exist, and potato sack races do. It’s also a rare opportunity to be playing in the same world alongside other parties in the room, which means your table’s choices might have consequences at other tables.”

Registration for the September 2025 sessions opens May 17 at 8 AM PDT. Spots are limited, so reserve early to guarantee a seat at the table (and around the campfire!). You can sign up for updates now at DungeonsAndCabins.com
