Summer Game Fest is only three weeks away. Crazy, I know. We’ve been getting drip fed information, but the floodgates are now beginning to open. The first round of partners have been announced, and there are some big names on it. LOS ANGELES – May 16, 2024 – Summer Game Fest, the global fan celebration of what’s next in video games, will bring together more than 55 of the world’s leading video game companies and partners for new announcements, trailers and first-looks, live in Los Angeles this June. To kick off the celebration, the Summer Game Fest showcase will take place on Friday, June 7 at 2p PT / 5p ET / 10p BST in front of a live audience of thousands of fans at the state-of-the-art YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park. Tickets are now available for purchase via Ticketmaster. Fans from all over the globe can also tune into the show live across YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, X, Steam and a variety of international partners.
In addition to the live showcase from YouTube Theater on June 7, Summer Game Fest: Play Days, an invite-only media and influencer event in downtown Los Angeles produced by iam8bit, returns on June 8 – 10. Fans can look to their favorite media publications and content creators for previews on games from a variety of partners.
The first wave of partner announced for Summer Game Fest-related activities this year include: 2K, Amazon Games, Annapurna Interactive, Arc Games, Atari, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Blumhouse Games, Bokeh Game Studio, CAPCOM, Day of the Devs, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Discord, Dolby, Electronic Arts, Embark Studios, Epic Games, Focus Entertainment, Funcom, HoYoverse, iam8bit, Indie Angels, Innersloth, Ironmace, Jyamma Games, Level Infinite, Magic the Gathering, Meta, NCSoft, NetEase Games, Netflix Games, Nexon, Niantic, PLAION, PlayStation, Pocketpair, Private Division, Razer, Recreate Games, Riot Games, S-GAME, Samsung Gaming Hub, Seasun Games, SEGA, SNK, Steam, Sunblink, Supercell, Thunderful Games, TiMi Studio Group, Torn Banner Studios, Ubisoft, Uncapped Games, WB Games, and Xbox. Additional partners will be announced in the coming weeks, with some not revealed until the live showcase.
Summer Game Fest will also stream Day of the Devs: SGF Edition on June 7, immediately following the SGF live showcase. Day of the Devs is a non-profit with the mission to celebrate the creativity, diversity and magic of video games, giving a voice to emerging or underrepresented talent with platforms that connect players with developers, and their games.
