Parable Games is excited to bring Sisterhood to Backerkit as part of the Pocketopia festival, launching March 13th 2025. This Nuns with Guns RPG sees each player taking control of a hard-boiled nun as they battle the Apocalypse. But not just any nun. Gun toting, cigarette smoking, demon punching nuns.
“Sisterhood is a project that allows us to take a totally unique approach in a TTRPG, taking strong themes, iconic characters everyone knows, combining it with some end of days madness, and then throwing players into the deep end and saying ‘Go punch a Demon, save the world’ - it’s a recipe for an apocalyptically good time!” says Charlie Menzies, Creative Director for Parable Games. “Inspired by the nuns at a convent I used to deliver newspapers to, the idea that some grizzled knuckle-duster wielding mother superior could go and smash the Devil’s teeth in was an idea we just couldn’t not make.”
Sisterhood launches with three books, a core rulebook, and two story modules “The Five Horsemen” which sees the sisters tackling a mysterious fifth member in the apocalypse seeking horsemen as they try to end the world, and “Judgement Day” which pits our Sisters against…Angels?
Players will be able to discover the brand new CROSS Combat system developed for Sisterhood, designed to allow the feeling of tactical tabletop RPG combat, but with an enclosed space needing only two boards for any encounter.
