Today, Valve announced that their highly anticipated Steam Machine is launching today via Steam. The Steam Machine is essentially a powerful PC packed into a tiny, adorable little cube running Steam OS, like the Steam Deck. You can sign up on the product page to purchase one of multiple versions, with the reservation queue randomized on June 25th. Signing up after June 25th will put you at the back of the queue, however, so get in there if you're able. Valve will begin sending out emails to purchase the machine in batches according to availability, with the first batch being sent out on Monday June 29th. It's a little complicated, but if it prevents bots and scalpers it's certainly worth it.

The Steam Machine is a roughly 6 inch cube with over 6 times the power of the Steam Deck, able to run games in 4K and 60fps with FSR thanks to a semi-custom AMD CPU/GPU. It features Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.3 with a dedicated antenna, runs quiet, and is ready to be used with all kinds of peripherals and monitors, including the recently released Steam Controller (you can read our review on that below). Plus, it's got a cool LED strip which can be configured to do various things, including showing download progress! You'll also be able to swap out the front plate for custom designs and possibly even additional features depending on how far you want to take it.

Here are the four different options you can sign up for:
