It has certainly been a while since fans of the Halo franchise have been able to see more footage of the upcoming fourteenth game in the long-running series, subtitled Infinite. The first cinematic trailer for the game was shown off during E3 2019 on Juen 9, 2019. Ever since then, details and footage of the title have been scarce, to say the least. Luckily for fans though, we now have official confirmation of what the box art for Halo: Infinite looks like. The box art featured below, shows the series’ protagonist Master Chief in all his glory, amongst a beautiful lush backdrop, reminiscent of previous Halo games.
Something else that is quite interesting about this box art will be revealed if you take a closer look at Master Chief’s forearm. Although it’s definitely just speculation as of right now, it appears as though he is wearing a grappling hook, which would be an exciting way to drastically switch up the gameplay and movement mechanics for the upcoming title. The box art is sure to excite fans, but they are in for even more luck. On July 23rd, Microsoft is holding a special event during the Xbox Games Showcase which promises to show off brand new, upcoming games for Xbox consoles. One of these games is none other than Halo: Infinite. The reveal for the game is scheduled to be held at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET and is said to focus primarily on the game’s single-player campaign, so fans of the multiplayer will seemingly have to wait just a little bit longer for their first glimpse of what 343 Industries has in store.
