Today, Seven Seas announced that it will release the Monaka Suzuki’s My Father is a Unicorn digitally and physically on December 17. The series follows a young boy coming to terms with bonding with his new step-dad, who happens to be a shapeshifting unicorn.
Issei Uno is still in high school when his mother remarries. His mom’s new husband, Masaru, is a nice enough guy, he just happens to be a unicorn. Sometimes in the form of a talking horse, sometimes in the form of a beautiful man, Masaru is determined to run the household while his wife is away and win Issei over. For better or worse, now Issei is stuck teaching this unicorn man how to be a good dad in this idiosyncratic comedy about the magic of family.
Seven Seas will publish the manga My Father is a Unicorn for the first time in North America in print and on digital platforms in a large trim size. The book will be released on December 17, 2019 for $13.99 USA / $16.99 CAN.
