Rockstar Games’ former head honcho Dan Houser recently expressed his feelings towards Max Payne 3, feelings that definitely were not glowing by any stretch of the imagination. Houser claimed during a sit-down interview with IGN that Max Payne 3 “failed” and he “got that completely wrong”, blaming himself for this blistering threequel’s supposed divisiveness, just because at the time back in 2012, gamers took umbrage with it when they chose to compare it with its predecessors Max Payne and Max Payne 2 from Remedy Entertainment. This stance may’ve been true at the time to some degree, yet 14 years later Max Payne 3 is considered by many seventh-generation console gamers to be one of the greatest hidden gems of that era.
