Turtle Beach adds epic new feature to Vulcan II TKL Pro keyboard

It’s not surprising to receive excellence from the Vulcan line of keyboard from Turtle Beach. That said, it’s sometimes nice when an unexpected feature drops. ReacTap is a function added because of the outstanding Hall Effect switches that the Vulcan II features, and works like a snap tap. Setting up ReacTap

Make sure you are in the ReacTap tab on the right. Its icon are two opposing and crossed arrows, similar to the shuffle icon in media player applications. Next, make sure you are in the game mode layer and click any key you want to customize. In our example, this is going to be the A key. Now on the right you can toggle “Enable ReacTap” and even toggle “Quick Assign to A & D” if you are looking to utilize the feature for movement in games. Otherwise, you can also press the “+” icon under “Key 2” and then press the key you want to add to your ReacTap selection of “A”.

Now, you can also test your configuration by clicking “Text your bindings”. Just make sure the keyboard is in game mode, which can be activated via FN+Win and is indicated by the Windows-key’s second LED being white. If everything is working properly, you can press your Key 1, then additionally press Key 2 and release it again and Key 1 will be registered again. In the case of Key 1 being “A” and Key 2 being “D”, the result should look something like “aaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddaaaaaaaaaaa”.

Using the ReacTap comes with a caveat though: Since games usually require you to release previous input before opposed input can be registered, this software solution may be considered cheating. This is especially the case when it comes to competitive games such as Counter Strike or others where strafing left and right to aid your aim or to throw an opponents aim off is an important mechanic.

Use ReacTap at your own risk! Games in which such features are considered cheating may penalize using the feature by kicking you from the match or even banning your account.
Always research how the game you intend to use the feature in treats the feature before using it to be on the safe side.
