The cycle begins again in Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

An expansion and rework of the amazing RPG

Recently, Capcom announced Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, coming October 9th, 2026. This is a paid expansion to the base game which adds new story to the 2024 title, along with reworking much of the game in response to player feedback.

The game will also arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time, bringing the base game and expansion into one single package. The expansion can be purchased separately on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The first of these quality of life updates is already out, adding fast travel and movement adjustments, additional options, UI improvements, pawn adjustments, reward adjustments, and more.

I adored Dragon's Dogma 2, and while I'm a bit wary of how Capcom is reworking the game based on player feedback, given I see a lot of that initial feedback to be in bad faith, but I'm still excited to dive back into the world.
