Smite SWC X day two wrap-up — The Jade Dragons and The Oni Warriors will face off in the finals!

With day two of the Smite World Championship X coming to a conclusion, I can tell you one thing: I don’t think most people thought the Jade Dragons would be one of the two teams who will face off tomorrow for the hammer. In an upset that shook fans up (myself included) The Jade dragons beat The Styx Ferrymen 3-2 in a five match set. The Jade Dragons have had a rocky season this year, and The Styx Ferrymen were definitely one of the top two teams expected to head to the finals, along with the Warriors. But solo-laner Nika, and ADC Vaporishcoast showed up and had something to say about it in the last three games. A teary eyed Nika spoke to the crowd after their win, and his victory was hard earned and well deserved. Who doesn’t love the Dragons? PolarBearMike and LASBRA are two of the most beloved Smite Pro players, and the crowd will be routing for them tomorrow in full force.

[SEASON X] SMITE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: DAY 2

The Oni Warriors swept the Leviathans 3-0, denying FineOkay yet another chance at a SWC win. While I love the way the Oni Warriors have looked all season long, FineOkay is one of our favorite players, and my husband was really hoping he’d take home the W this year. But you cannot deny that the Warriors came to win, and tomorrows matchup against the Dragons will be a nail biter. If the Dragons are able to pull the win off, it will be the biggest upset of the year.

Smite fans also got to see some amazing cosplayers on stage, and we enjoyed an in-depth look at the Smite Year 11 dev panel that took place this morning. You can see my full breakdown and thoughts on Year 11 here.

Tomorrow will be even more exciting with the Smite 2 Dev Insight panel showing us more about the game and what we can look forward to. Stay tuned here at Gaming Trend for upcoming interviews and videos, including our thoughts on the Smite 2 playtest we got to be a part of!
