Limited Run Games goes back to the past with ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove plus a PS3 release

Limited Run Games starts another ambitious physical release schedule as the publisher has announced that it will sell its first PlayStation 3 title, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, tomorrow with standard and collectors’ editions available. In addition, the company will also hold open pre-orders for the upcoming ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch starting tomorrow.

ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove standard editions open for their 45-day pre-order this Friday (Feb. 15th) for the Nintendo Switch ($34.99) and PlayStation 4 ($29.99)!

Limited Collector’s Editions for the PS4 ($64.99) and Nintendo Switch ($69.99) will include: PS4 or Switch game, themed packaging, map puzzle board, 6 enamel pins, 10 pin stands for setting up your own level, environment cutout standees, cassette soundtrack + download code, & a poster. CEs go on sale 2/15 at 10am & 6pm EST!

ToeJam and Earl have crash-landed back on Earth in ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, a funky fresh rogue-like adventure infused with old skool hip-hop and jam packed with awesome throwbacks to the 1991 classic. Original Funk Lord (and co-creator) Greg Johnson is back at the helm with the sequel that ToeJam and Earl fans have been waiting for!

The iconic ‘90s duo is back in the groove with all-new presents to help them navigate this wack planet “”Earth”” and retrieve all the lost pieces to the Rapmaster Rocket. Team up for co-op play to discover secret locations, hidden presents and new friends as you make your way through a constantly changing and unpredictable world.

ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove is a mash-up of the very best features of the classic console games with a ton of fresh improvements. Grab some homies and get ready for a blast of funky nostalgia as you help ToeJam and Earl return once again to Funkotron.

We’re happy to announce that Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath will be getting a Limited Run this Friday, February 15… on the PlayStation 3!

This marks our first PS3 release. This collection will be small, but mighty. We look forward to bringing more games to the PS3 in the future.

There will be limited copies of both the standard edition and the collector’s edition.

The collector’s edition will be priced at $64.99 while the standard edition is priced at $29.99.
