Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is getting a big update and a Switch 2 release this September

On September 17th, 2026, Cygames and Arc System Works will release the 2.60 update for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 version. The update adds the new DLC character, Id, from Relink as well as a new stage, the Ainsteddo Archipelago, a new system mechanic, balance adjustments, and more. Further details will be announced.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of GBVSR will release with the entire 40-character roster including Id and other characters previously available as DLC. It'll also feature local wireless multiplayer support so you can throw down anytime, anywhere, with anyone.

Finally, players who link save data from Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok will receive a weapon skin for Id and the Lyria (Shaman of Salvation) lobby avatar. The ability to link will come alongside the update on September 17th.
