Today, PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions announced Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, which compiles the base game, Deluxe Edition content, a new expansion, a new mode, more Watanabe Mode tracks, and more all arriving on October 1st for PlayStation 5.
The story expansion, titled Echoes of Sekigahara, splits its time between the present and flashbacks to Atsu's past on the mainland. Players meet Nagato and explore a valley once inhabited by The Snake and his Vipers while learning about Atsu's experience in the Battle of Sekigahara just before the events of the game.
The Most Wanted mode is something of a rogue-like. Players will accept bounties to start new runs, take down enemies to earn perks, and unlock new characters to play as who each specialize in a weapon type.; Atsu uses dual katana, Oyuki uses the kusarigama, and Nagato wields the yari, for example.
If you already own the base game, you can upgrade to the Complete Edition for $14.99, while the full game and Complete Edition together will run you $69.99. As a free update on the same day, all players will get the new Beauty of Yōtei mode which serves as a screensaver-like environment viewer and some quality of life features, like being able to use an armor set's visuals with another sets stats and a high contrast accessibility option.
