The Guild returns with a new movie currently funding on Kickstarter. The original series was instrumental in bringing geek culture forward, and now the original cast returns. You can also check out our interview with Felicia Day about the movie to see the passion behind the movie and why it's so important to everyone involved:
Felicia Day’s Kickstarter campaign for The Guild: Ren Faire'd has officially been fully funded in less than 4 hours, raising over $1.55M from more than 8600 backers.
The milestone means the “Knights of Good” will return for a new feature-length adventure ahead of the groundbreaking web series’ 20th anniversary in 2027. The movie reunites Codex, Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh), Vork (Jeff Lewis), Tink (Amy Okuda), Clara (Robin Thorsen), and Bladezz (Vince Caso), continuing their story in the same independent, community-driven spirit that made the original series a defining part of online fandom and geek culture.

“I’m honestly overwhelmed by the support this campaign has received,” said Felicia Day, creator of The Guild. “This community has been part of The Guild since the very beginning, and the fact that fans are once again coming together to help us tell this story means more than I can say. Reaching our goal is an incredible first step, and I cannot wait to reunite the Knights of Good and make this movie together.”
Additionally, Day has announced her intention is to film the project in Los Angeles.
"All of us call Southern California home, so we're committed to doing everything we can to keep production here." says Felicia Day. "It's no secret that filming in California costs more than many other states, but we're optimistic that we'll qualify for the California tax credit program to help make it possible. Keeping the movie local means more opportunities for our friends and collaborators, more cameos from familiar faces, more jobs for the creative community we love, and more love for the city that's been home to all the Guild cast from the very beginning."
At a time when most film crowdfunding campaigns revolve around Blu-rays, posters, and T-shirts, The Guild: Ren Faire’d is taking a radically different approach. By combining original tabletop games, premium collectibles, creator collaborations, exclusive merchandise, and live experiences into a single campaign, the project transforms crowdfunding into a full-fledged fan event. It’s an ambitious approach designed to fund an independent feature while celebrating the culture that inspired it.
