Dauntless goes cross-platform next year, new content available today

Dauntless developer Phoenix Labs announced their next phase of plans for the free-to-play monster slayer at this year’s Game Awards, including cross-platform play and seasonal content. The biggest news was the announcement that the game is coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store in April 2019, with a Switch and mobile launch later next year. In what the developer is calling One Dauntless, it plans to let players sync their progress on one account across all platforms.

Its currently live PC version is also receiving a content update today. Dubbed Frostfall, the update will introduce a new Behemoth to hunt, along with seasonal challenges and items. Along with the new season, Dauntless’s Hunt Pass also debuts today, which players can purchase for $10 for access to exclusive cosmetic items and other rewards.

A committed indoor kid, Bryan moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles for a prettier landscape to ignore. They can be lured outside with promises of taco trucks and film festivals, and enjoy trawling through used book stores for works on the occult. Bryan has been gaming since the SNES era and is a sucker for good pixel art.
