Stonemaier Games has announced a new game releasing on October 14th. The first game in the Smoking Bones series has you lead your airship, seeking to become the greatest travel company:
In Braided Skies, you take on the role of an airship captain in the Shallows, seeking to build the greatest magical travel company in the Northlands. Your mission involves exploring land and sky for new wonders, upgrading your travel company operations, and picking up tourists—all while maintaining a steady supply of tapstones, the magical gems that fuel the Northlands. Accumulate fame to become the Commodore of the Clouds!
This is the first in a series of games set in the Smoking Bones universe created and illustrated by Andrew Bosley (Everdell, Tapestry, etc). Braided Skies is designed by Dan Germain, and the full rulebooks are available now. You're also welcome to join the discussion there or on Facebook.
Release Details: If all goes well with freight shipping, this game will be available from Stonemaier Games starting on October 14, 2026; sign up for a launch update here. Stonemaier webstore orders are on track to ship to you soon after the launch fulfillment centers in the US, Canada, and Australia (and mid-November for Europe). A local retail release follows later in November.
