I don’t tend to use accessories at all. I never cared so much about what was holding my microphone, I just didn’t want to hold it myself. AVerMedia changed my opinion completely and I have no idea how I functioned without a mic arm.
The FLEXI go microphone arm is fantastic and extremely durable: I took it outside, tossed it to the ground, and it was completely fine. I’m not kidding. It’s extremely solid and has a complete 360-degree Multi-angle rotation. You can adjust the height of the arm too, something that I didn’t have to do because of the way I like to sit at my desk. The best part about this microphone arm is that it’s silent. You can make all of the adjustments without it making a sound.
The packaging was also solid. Everything was tightly wrapped but easy to open. As soon as you pop the box open, you can pull the arm right out without any hassle.
Product Specifics
The FLEXI go microphone arm is a tube-style microphone arm that attaches to whatever structure you want to use to support it using a C-clamp. The C-clamp supports up to 55 mm/ 2.16in of space.
The FLEXI go supports a maximum of 360 degrees of horizontal rotation. The lower arm has a maximum 180 degrees of rotation while the upper arm supports that 360 degrees of rotation. With all of this information put together, the FLEXI go is extremely posable. I tried it in a couple of different positions before deciding to keep it simple but if you had a setup that needed some flexibility, this microphone arm can do it for you.
The FLEXI go has a max holding weight of 1.5kg(52.9oz) and is extremely sturdy once you get the clap in place. I use it to hold my headphones as well and it hasn’t fallen once.
Practical Use
I use the FLEXI go to hold the AVerMedia VERSATI go and it works flawlessly. As of writing this review, I have been using it for around two weeks and it hasn’t budged. The arm supports my headphones too and has really improved my setup. Adjusting the microphone for recording videos is done in under 5 seconds and I can move it back and forth with ease.
The one thing I was worried about when I opened the box was setting it up, but I am happy to report that it was so easy I didn’t even need the instructions. The majority of the arm comes put together in the box and the only thing you really have to do is attach the microphone to the arm. All in all, this experience was extremely quick and pleasant.
Final Thoughts
The FLEXI go is an awesome accessory that I will be using for as long as I continue to create content. Not only do I record video games but I also use it when running tabletop roleplaying games. This product is great and if you’re looking for a microphone arm this is a great one to pick up.
