The Finals is adding a new, temporary 5-vs-5 game mode called 'Dragon's Claim' where players fight over a banner while a dragon harasses them. Along with the new game mode come 20 new rewards via the wheel, culminating in a free legendary reward for those who complete it. The event will run from May 7th until May 28th. Today, Embark Studios is excited to launch a brand-new, limited-time game mode in the free-to-play multiplayer shooter THE FINALS, running from May 7 through May 28, 2026. This event introduces ‘Dragon’s Claim,’ a new medieval fantasy-themed game mode with a focus on control, teamplay and siege moments.
This new 10-player PvP mode pits two teams of five against each other to control a single banner in a 10-minute match. Players must plant a banner and fight the opposite team to earn points and reach the cash target—but beware, during Siege, a Dragon will roam the zone, attacking players and disrupting fights. The siege takes place on the ‘Starlight Hollow’ map, where the village offers plenty of spaces for teams to optimize combat and defense strategies.
THE FINALS’ ‘Dragon’s Claim’ Event doesn’t end there, more highlights include:
* Scales of Fortune: The wheel is back with a brand-new ‘Golden Ticket’ feature, featuring 20 free rewards, including a final “Legendary” reward for players collecting all rewards. Players complete contracts to earn up to 3 tickets a day to spin The Wheel and unlock rewards. Duplicate rewards are converted into New Golden Tickets, allowing an additional spin and guaranteeing a new, unowned item. Rewards will also be available for purchase with Multibucks.
* New “Crown That Remains” DLC Bundle: This new update also brings a new, high-quality DLC bundle offering 1 legendary outfit, 1 legendary frag grenade skin, 1 legendary emote, 1 epic charm and 2,400 multibucks.
