Splitgate 2 features new trailer ahead of first public access

Splitgate 2 is looking really cool, and soon you can get your hands on it. A new trailer debuted at GamesCom, alongside a demo going on at the show. Remotely you’ll be able to sign up on Steam to have a chance at access, with a lucky few receiving invitations. The details are below, with trailer above.

THE ARENA (August 21, 2024) – 1047 Games portals its way to Germany for Gamescom 2024 with the game’s first public playable demo at the Splitgate 2 pavilion (Hall 9, booth #A-050), but fans around the world can join in the fun with Splitgate 2’s “Gamescom at home” closed alpha going live today through Aug. 25. An eye-popping, action-packed new gameplay trailer was released today for fans looking to join the 4v4 action.

On the heels of Splitgate 2’s gameplay livestream reveal last week, the colorful faction shooter is making a big splash in Germany as it opens the doors to fans with a fully decked-out booth promising the most immersive Splitgate experience to date. But players don’t need to be at Gamescom to join in the fun: those looking to check out the alpha from home can register for the chance to do so by signing up on the game’s Steam page (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2918300/Splitgate_2/).

The closed alpha consists of two thrilling modes – Hotzone and Team Deathmatch – across three different maps (Ozone, Zenith and Frontier) and grants players an early look at each of its three factions. There is no time or match limit during the alpha, and it is free to play.

Iterating on the initial game’s success, 1047 has rebuilt Splitgate 2 from scratch. Suit up and portal into the action as an elite Ace, choosing between three factions – each with their own distinct abilities tailored to a variety of playstyles. Mix and match to create the ultimate team and play together to master Splitgate 2’s fast-paced combat unlocking new capabilities along the way.

In the future, competition is fierce and mastery over portaling techniques are key to your team’s success. Dash, slide and utilize futuristic physics for flashy aerial kills in the galactic arena.
