Today, Logic Ember announced that it will release its puzzle-platformer Backworlds on PC next year, with a playable build available at this year’s Gamescom. The game will task players with creatively solving different puzzles and traversing the world by painting.
Backworlds is a multi-dimensional puzzle-platform game in which you explore by painting. Move between two parallel worlds, each with its own unique set of properties, using your brush to flow seamlessly from one to the other. Solve environmental conundrums by using each world’s physical properties to your advantage, and use your own creativity to craft original solutions to the game’s puzzles.
Nine years in the making, featuring a gorgeous hand-painted art style and proprietary engine technology, Backworlds aspires to bring player freedom to the puzzle genre. It’s due to release for PC in early 2019.
