Indie developer AttritoM7 Productions and publisher IZilla Games today announce that BLACKWOOD: Act 1 is out now on Steam, beginning a dark, cinematic single-player story set in 2012 New York, where by day players run a seemingly ordinary DVD store and by night step into the role of a ruthless assassin.
BLACKWOOD follows Anton, whose seemingly mundane day job provides a stark contrast to the violent world he inhabits after dark. Combining cinematic storytelling with grounded combat, brutal takedowns, and responsive gunplay, BLACKWOOD puts players in control of a character living a dangerous double life, where every encounter can demand careful preparation, and every bullet counts.
Act 1 is just the beginning. BLACKWOOD is designed as a complete three-act experience, with Acts 2 and 3 included with the initial purchase and arriving as free updates to existing owners. Act 2 is planned for March 2027, with Act 3 following in September 2027.
