Today, Square Enix announced that the popular Gamecube Final Fantasy spin-off, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, will be receiving a Remastered Edition next year. It is expected to be released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with online multiplayer hinted in the trailer.
Originally released in 2003, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is an action role-playing game where players control a group of adventures protecting the world from a poisonous Miasma creeping across the land. This Miasma is neutralized by a protective crystal, either held by a player or a Moogle when in single-player mode.
When originally released, multiplayer was originally handled via the Gamecube to Gameboy Advance link cable, so it’s not yet confirmed how it will be handled in the Remastered Edition. However, the trailer showed a world map with several screens being pointed to various parts of the world, hinting that online capability may be included.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2019. Stay tuned to Gaming Trend as we await more information on this title.
