Batman: Arkham Shadow unveils gameplay trailer at GamesCom

While VR doesn’t always translate well to trailers, it’s still important to show. Thankfully, Camouflaj agrees, and dropped a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Shadow. We’re big Batman fans over here at GamingTrend, and this is a big exclusive for the Meta Quest 3. Check out the trailer above, with a few new details below.

Today at gamescom Opening Night Live, Meta and Camouflaj revealed Batman: Arkham Shadow’s first gameplay trailer footage, showcasing iconic Arkham combat including gliding and grappling, stealth takedowns, Detective Vision, and more.

Meta and Camouflaj also confirmed Batman: Arkham Shadow, available exclusively on Meta Quest 3, will launch in October 2024 and shared more of the voice actors who will be part of the game.

Batman: Arkham Shadow is a groundbreaking new entry in the Arkham franchise, allowing players to become Batman and immerse themselves into the same blend of exploration, stealth, and free-flowing combat the series is known for. Some fan-favorite gameplay features in Batman: Arkham Shadow taken from the original Arkham games include:

• Stealthy Exploration: Observe enemies by gliding and grappling through the air. Then knock them out with stealth takedowns.
• Batman’s Iconic Gadgets: Traverse Gotham using Batman’s Grapnel Gun and throw a
• Batarang at your enemies before slipping into the shadows with a Smoke Bomb.
  The Return of Detective Vision: Detective Vision is back, allowing players to see enemies through walls and detect usable and useful objects in the environment.

An all-star cast also brings Batman: Arkham Shadow’s cinematic campaign to life. Roger Craig Smith reprises the role of Batman, alongside Troy Baker as Harvey Dent, Tara Strong as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, Mark Rolston as James Gordon, Khary Payton as Otis Flannagan, Earl Baylon as Lyle Bolton, Chelsea Kane as Barbara Gordon, and Martin Jarvis as Alfred Pennyworth.
