We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com! This week we have a host of Dark Horse Comics including impressions and a review! We've got teenage angst, superheroes in distress, an order of magical humans who may or may not be magical, and some High Republic Adventures! We love having so many genres to discuss, so let's get into it!

FML – Issue #1

FML is such a fun time for the end of the world. Things are going horrible in the world and everyone is just trying to survive in what is the new "normal." This series starts out strong by introducing us to a loveable group of misfits who are "fighting the system" even when everything is burning around them. If you like teenage angst, metal music, witchcraft, etc... FML is going to be a series you'll want to pick up NOW!

Jupiter's Legacy: Finale – Issue #2

As more context is provided to our heroes, we find out that all of humanity is cattle for another species. I mentioned before the similarity to the Mass Effect series end of the world style, it's that kind of end of the world. Humanity (and other species and variants on humanity) are at an EXTREME disadvantage against this new alien threat. It's not even close.

It's very interesting seeing our heroes' reactions to this end of the world idea. Can they face a threat they know nothing about? How much time do they actually have to prepare. This series has been fabulous so far, so if you're a fan of Jupiter's Legacy or just love the genre, this short run series is getting GOOD.

The Magic Order 5 – Issue #1

This series is brutal from the jump. The themes are dark and gritty and it challenges you as the reader to come to terms with what is real and what might be false. With most things I've read by Mark Millar, it's intense, so readers beware.

This story follows a group of magic users as they try and protect the world from the unseen. As more characters are introduced, we're set up for a wild ride as each one brings something completely different to the table and some of them might not be what the appear... or are they?
