The Perfectly Monstrous Life of Adam Frankenstein

This one-shot follows the love, horror, kindness, and fear that surrounds the life of Adam Frankenstein. It also adds the story of Frankenstein to the Chaos-verse explaining some of the details fans have been waiting for from the series.

I adore the art style used for this one-shot. Soo Lee showcases the difference between Adam's emotions beautifully allowing the reader to experience some of the moments we may have read on the page, but detailed in front of us in a beautiful manner.

If you enjoy the Chaos-verse and enjoy Frankenstein, this is a solid book to read through!

X-Men: Omega Red Dawn - Issue #1

This X-Men issue is jam-packed with action and intrigue as Omega Red abducts Charles Xavier and the X-Men have to not only recover from an attack on their home, but team up with the enemy to get Professor X back.

Characters you know and love get a little moment to shine, but be prepared that only half the team get to make the trip. I love when we get a large group of X-Men all in one book, can't wait for the next one.

Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere

The Little Nightmares story has always been one full of mystery and context-based guesses to some of the specifics. We've seen Game Theory and more take a stab at what Little Nightmares is and explain these interwoven stories of depression, anxiety, loneliness and more. Here, we get two stories tied together on different sides of the nightmare.

In the one, we have a disgraced cop teaming up with a plucky up-start to try and figure out the mystery of child abductions/missing kids. Meanwhile, we have Hush trying to escape and being taken for a ride along the way. It was my first Little Nightmares comic after playing the first two games. It provided similar vibes as the games but added way more context and less stress on my end.

Six of Us - Issue #1

If you love sitcoms or just wish to have that old-style of sitcom back for a moment, Six of Us provides the behind the scenes on a group of actors who became friends on set, a family even. After the show was over, one of them dies and leaves the others to wonder what happened. Was he pushed, did he do it alone, we simply don't have those answers yet.

Gabriel Hernandez Walta provides some amazing panels with a old-school feeling style. Meanwhile, Tom King gives us a mystery I'm ready to figure out. If you're a fan of the mystery and sitcom genres, this mashup is right up your alley.

Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett - Issue #1

It's The Book of Boba Fett only in comic book form. Following suit with the other Disney+ shows and The Skywalker Saga, we have the first episode of BOBF with a great art style and some extra details added in the action sequences.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I find these comics a great reminder of how fun some of these stories were to watch. There's been enough time between the show and this release, letting a whole new group of people try out the story.

The One. Later On... - Vol. 1

This could have easily been fan-servicey feeling storyline, but the emotional backstories and moments between characters create a fun dynamic.

While Waz is powerful, he's naïve to the world in a lot of areas and isn't the brightest when it comes to thinking through his choices. His "deal" isn't quite fully understood from a power angle, but his "why" is made clear in this first volume. It's easy to fall in love with Waz and his non-fiancé-fiancé dragon and all of the adorable and strong characters.

The detail in the fight scenes is another aspect that kept me turning page after page until I was left waiting for the second volume. If you like action, cute characters, and lots of funny moments, The One. Later On... is going to be a must-read.
