500,000 USD awaits the winner of the "Gold & Crystal" Treasure Hunt.

The grand prize of the treasure hunt.

Today, Ubisoft and Unsolved Hunts revealed that they're partnering up to host Gold & Crystal – The Lost Treasure of Edward Kenway, a treasure hunt. Players who participate in the worldwide treasure hunt will have an opportunity to win a $500,000 treasure hidden somewhere in the Caribbean.

To participate, you can pre-order access to the hunt starting from $40 on the official website here. The hunt begins on November 9th, 2026, featuring several elements that must be deciphered: a message in a bottle, a map of the Caribbean, and a collection of letters and archives containing 15 puzzles jam packed with Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced references. The puzzles can be solved without knowledge of the game and from anywhere in the world. Solving the puzzles will lead to the location of a chest buried in the Carribean, though the hunt is designed to last between two and five years.

The first player to find the location will get to go to the Caribbean to unearth the chest and win a replica of the crystal skull from the game, crafted by French lapidary artisan Hervé Obligi, as well as a chest filled with gold goins, minted with the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced logo thanks to AuCOFFRE.
