The Long Arm of the Law ain't got nothin' on you

My Arms Are Longer Now lets you wreak havoc like an untitled goose

The Long Arm of the Law ain't got nothin' on you

I’ve just gotten my arms, erm, hands on the demo for My Arms Are Longer Now, the upcoming mischief-riddled adventure game from Toot Games and Jackbox Games. It’s chaotic, goofy, and a bit irreverent in a way I think folks will enjoy.

If Reed Richards became a petty thief and used his wildly stretchy limbs to steal and inconvenience everyone around him while they watched in horror, you’d have My Arms Are Longer Now. You control a disembodied arm that can move around in 3-D space, grabbing goodies and tripping up the world’s inhabitants as your arm continues to stretch ever longer like the snake in Nibbles.

You're going to try to take everything that isn't bolted down

In the demo, we join folks on a train for some shenanigans. Starting from the back, I worked my way forward through each car, picking pockets, sliding under seats, and over handrails to, ultimately, make off with a briefcase secured to a person of interest. Along the way, you can steal other items and manipulate the environment for some light puzzle-solving.

The demo paints the game as a sort of low-stakes sandbox for general miscreance. The game’s comedy chops are on display, with dry humor encouraging you to poke the bear in as many ways as possible. It’s part Hudson Hawk, part Mitch Hedberg, with a bit of Bojack Horseman tossed in for style. The game is going to encourage you to think outside the box and poke the systems just to see how the world reacts. In that way, it evokes Untitled Goose Game meets Unravel.

While this won’t likely tickle everyone’s fancy, it looks like My Arms Are Longer will be a fun way to while away an evening or two when it launches on March 11, 2027. Admit it - you want to trip a train conductor and birdnap some pigeons, too, don’t you?
