I’ve been drinking in every bit of news for this game since it was announced, and even with a new name, I’ll be keeping my eyes out for more. Today, I got some, with MOUSE changing to MOUSE: P.I. For Hire. A new trailer was released to reveal this change, and you can check that out above with a few more details below.
Melbourne, Australia – August 19, 2024 – Playside Studios, in partnership with Fumi Games – has unveiled a brand new trailer showcasing new gameplay, key art and a new tagline for the upcoming 1930s noir cartoon-inspired FPS, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire.
The freshly released trailer serves up a taste of the electrifying action that awaits, featuring an array of classic yet creatively twisted weaponry that Pepper will use to tackle the nefarious rodent mobsters. From The Mauser, a classic, multishot pistol and P.I. Pepper’s trusty right hand to The Turpentine Gun, a handy tool to erase enemies from their existence, each tool in Pepper’s arsenal is designed to bring out the noir grit and cartoon chaos that defines MOUSE: P.I. For Hire.
The trailer also begins to scratch the surface of the darker side of Mouseburg’s seedy underbelly, and shares an early preview of just some of the hand-crafted biomes players can explore at launch next year:
Marina – Mouseburg’s Port and Dock district. It’s seen better economic times.
Film Studio – The premiere movie studio, home to various unique set locations
Swamps – Mouseburg’s marshlands. Beware what lurks beneath the surface!
Sewers – A vast underground system of subway tunnels and sewers, and home to Mouseburg’s moonshine transport network
