LOOM is back — Sea of Thieves collaboration with Monkey Island is live

We all love the high seas hijinks of the Monkey Island series. In fact, Richard Allen said in our Tales of Monkey Island review, “Return to Monkey Island is a fantastic end to Guybrush’s compulsive search for the secret of Monkey Island and perfectly encapsulates what made these iconic games so popular in the first place.” Now, this new release might not be a new game, but it may be as no-brainer of a crossover as the Pirates of the Caribbean one Sea of Thieves did a few years back. The Legend of Monkey Island is a hilarious and heartfelt love-letter to the iconic Monkey Island adventure game series. This collaboration comprises three Tall Tales, following Guybrush Threepwood’s adventures in the Sea of Thieves and featuring Guybrush, ghost pirate LeChuck, and more characters (and voice actors) from the Monkey Island game series. Tall Tales will be delivered in monthly installments, as free updates to owners of any Sea of Thieves edition and Xbox Game Pass members beginning today, July 20.

With three Tall Tales releasing this Summer, whether it’s solving puzzles, mastering Insult Sword Fighting or navigating through lava-filled catacombs with Guybrush as your guide, this free expansion update is an opportunity for owners of any Sea of Thieves edition to experience the world of Monkey Island like never before between Sea of Thieves and the Monkey Island series.
