Terra Nil, the eagerly anticipated ecological strategy game from Free Lives and Devolver Digital, will finally bloom on PC and Netflix on March 28.
In this chill, meditative twist on the city-builder genre, you use advanced eco-tech to transform a barren, desolate wasteland into a thriving, vibrant ecosystem. Purify soil, clean oceans, plant trees, reintroduce wildlife—then recycle everything and move on, leaving no trace you were ever there.
Across 6-8 blissful hours, tackle a variety of replayable procedurally generated biomes—including volcanic glaciers, ruined cities and tropical islands—each with its own uniquely challenging climate, geology, flora and fauna. Then when you’ve completed all four regions, challenge yourself further with unlockable alternate levels.
Create rainforests, swamps, rivers and more, and watch as the dry, cracked surface of a dead world suddenly explodes with life and color.
Terra Nil is a peaceful, beautiful and deeply satisfying experience, and you can begin your journey of wasteland reclamation on mobile (via Netflix) and PC on March 28.
Pre-order now and you’ll get the Deluxe Edition of the game—which includes the soundtrack and a digital art book—at the Standard Edition price.
Beginning with pre-orders and continuing after launch, Free Lives will be donating a portion of the profits from sales of Terra Nil on Steam to the Endangered Wildlife Trust.
“From the very beginning of development we’ve wanted Terra Nil to be able to have a real-world impact,” says Sam Alfred, the game’s co-creator and lead designer. “After much searching, we found the perfect partner to make this happen in the Endangered Wildlife Trust. Free Lives will be donating a portion of the profits of each sale of Terra Nil on Steam to the Endangered Wildlife Trust to help them in their efforts to preserve and restore ecosystems in the real world.”
