The Witcher: Blood Stone - Issue #4

A grim ending to a fabulous Witcher story! What happens if Geralt can't find a way out? Blood Stone delivers a story that is beautiful, dark, and very violent providing us with a glimpse of a Geralt we rarely see in the games or shows.

The art follows the violence showing everything from the torn faces from bare hands to the slashes from weapons. Nobody is safe, not even Geralt. This could be the deadliest threat he's faced alone so far!

The entire run is now out and is perfect for any fan of The Witcher!

Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day - Issue #1

A star-studded cast is what brings The Spectacular Spider-Man back in Brand New Day #1. From Wilson Fisk to The Punisher, and even some characters that fans of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 video game will know well make their way to New York to make Peter's life a living hell.

While Doctor Strange's spell worked and nobody remembers Peter is Spider-Man, quite a few remember they KNEW who Spider-Man truly was under the mask. This irritates many to no end, including Peter who's lost quite a lot of friendships along the way.

This issue was PACKED with catching up with Peter's history, plenty of appearances to smile at, and lots of plucky Spider-Man quips! If you're a fan of the Spectacular Spider-Man, this one is for you!

Gran Familia - Vol. 3

Leo and his friends are back in a heartbreaking yet intense volume that goes above and beyond to start and explain Leo's past, the reason the Demi-Mafia hates humans, the political turmoil behind the scenes, and even a budding romance.

The volume begins with an explanation of the reason the Demi-Mafia is attacking Leo. During that story, you see how humans hurt the Demi and even their protector. Writer Kenji Hamada does a wonderful job helping the reader feel empathetic to the Demi even if they've grown and are attacking our heroes.

While the mysteries of Leo's past are far from explained, we meet new characters that know him well and we get the starting point for his friends now to learn, "who really is Leo?"

Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral - Issue #1 review

Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral – Body Count #1 offers a look into the twisted mind of Marvel's newest serial killer, Torment, that ultimately adds to the character's horrifying nature.

Reading less like a traditional origin story and more a manifesto desperately seeking to make others understand the motives behind his heinous actions, the story builds slowly, creating an unassuming facade that allows the sudden twist to catch readers unawares even as they're looking for it.
