VOLTME Revo 240 Review — Powering your devices while simplifying your desk

I’ve spent the past few years migrating all my main devices to USB-C, which has been great for reducing cable clutter and standardizing how I charge my gadgets. But multiple devices still mean multiple outlets, and my desk sometimes looks like a power strip exploded. Enter the VOLTME Revo 240 Desktop Charger, a compact charging station featuring six ports—four USB-C and two USB-A—with a total output of 240 watts. Could a single charging station simplify my multi-device setup? I decided to put the VOLTME Revo 240 to the test.

Right out of the box, the VOLTME Revo 240 impresses with its compact design. Despite packing so much power, it’s small enough to fit comfortably on my desk without adding to the clutter it’s supposed to solve (well, mostly—more on that later). The matte finish looks sleek, and the build feels premium, though the included carrying bag leaves a lot to be desired. The outside of the pouch feels like some sort of polyester, while the inside is lined with microfiber. The microfiber is soft and nice, but the whole thing feels like a baby diaper. Still, it’s functional for transport.

With up to 240 watts of total power output, the VOLTME Revo 240 can handle just about any charging setup you throw at it. The standout feature is the 140-watt USB-C port, capable of fast-charging even power-hungry devices like the MacBook Pro. However, there’s a small caveat: while the charger supports 140 watts on a single port, the included braided cable maxes out at 100 watts. To fully utilize the 140-watt port, I had to use the MagSafe cable that came with my MacBook Pro.

Another scenario worth mentioning is my gaming laptop. I have a Razer Blade 14”, which comes with a 230-watt power brick but also supports USB-C charging at up to 100 watts via PD 3.0. For lighter workloads, this works fine, but during heavy gaming sessions, Windows warned me that I was using a low-power charger and should switch to the original charger. While this might sound alarming, I found my battery only dropped a few percent after an extended session. Once I stopped gaming, the laptop charged back to full as normal.

The other ports hold their own too. The remaining three USB-C ports support up to 100 watts, so you can charge two laptops simultaneously without sacrificing speed. The two USB-A ports are a nice touch for legacy devices, though they’re limited to (relatively) slower charging speeds. I say “relatively slower” because 18 watts is low compared to the potential 140 watts from the USB-C ports but still leagues better than the standard 5-watt chargers some phones come with. Power distribution depends on what’s plugged in and where, and here’s a reference chart for how the power is allocated:

One feature I really appreciated is the charger’s ability to intelligently balance power across devices, ensuring everything charges efficiently without overloading. Even with multiple devices plugged in—my laptop, tablet, phone, and Bluetooth headphones—it handled the load with ease, all while leaving two ports unused.

Safety is always a priority with high-powered chargers, and VOLTME has built in multiple protections to safeguard your devices from overcharging, overheating, and short circuits. The GaN chip technology helps maintain a cool operating temperature—after hours of charging multiple devices, the charger felt warm to the touch but never uncomfortably hot, providing peace of mind when powering expensive gadgets.

The built-in trickle-charging mode is another thoughtful feature. It kicks in automatically when your device is nearly full, preventing overcharging and helping to extend battery life—a small but impactful detail for overnight charging.

Using the VOLTME Revo 240 has significantly streamlined my charging setup. Being able to connect six devices simultaneously has freed up wall outlets and (mostly) decluttered my desk. That said, the included 4-foot power cable means I’ve got about 3.8 feet of slack to manage. Combine that with the longer cables I already use, and my desk can start to resemble the Snake Ball from Bloodborne if I’m not careful.

The VOLTME Revo 240 Desktop Charger is a versatile powerhouse for anyone juggling multiple devices. Its six ports and 240-watt capacity make it an excellent choice for powering laptops, tablets, phones, and more—all from a single wall outlet. While the included cable doesn’t fully take advantage of the 140-watt port and the carrying bag could use an upgrade, the performance and convenience far outweigh these minor gripes.

When it’s keeping my laptop powered or my Steam Deck ready to go, the VOLTME Revo 240 isn’t just a game-changer—it’s a game-charger.
