XO Games (CEO Ace Youm) has announced its participation in the upcoming ‘2024 PlayX4 B2B’ at KINTEX Hall 1 in Ilsan from May 23rd to 26th.

XO Games, specializing in IP and multiplayer development, leverages replay game data and AI technology to create casual multiplayer games aimed at the global market, including North America. The company, aspiring to reach over 100 million players worldwide, graduated from the Google Indie Accelerator in 2023, enhancing its global expansion capabilities. XO Games claims to have secured differentiated global competitiveness through AI-driven multiplayer development and service technology.

XO Games is developing various products and collaborating with renowned companies like Tetris, Naver Webtoon, CJ ENM, and EBS. Recognized for its multiplayer and IP game production expertise, the company was selected for the 2022 Google Indie Accelerator and the 2024 Gyeonggi Province Future Technology Production Support Project.

At the PlayX4 exhibition, XO Games will showcase at least two multiplayer games that allow up to 99 players to participate simultaneously. Two games confirmed to be exhibited are “Finger 99” and “Brain 99.” These games aim to address and overcome traditional multiplayer games’ technological and service challenges, such as network connection issues, waiting times, difficulty adjustment, and matching problems. Key features include:

– Replay and AI-powered multiplayer system supporting up to 99 players.

– Improved network stability, matching, and waiting time reduction.

– Intuitive and fast gameplay, similar to Shorts and Reels, making it accessible and enjoyable for all ages.

An XO Games representative stated, “Despite rapid technological advancements, there is a lack of content that friends and family can enjoy together. We aim to challenge the global market with bright, wholesome content everyone can enjoy quickly and easily.”

The representative added, “While multiplayer games are undoubtedly fun, their development and service complexity make them a challenging field for small developers. Despite our small size, we are tackling the global market with differentiated multiplayer technology and unique planning. We also seek strategic partners to help us conquer the global market.”

Targeting the global mobile, PC, and console game markets, with support planned for Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese languages, XO Games plans to release three multiplayer games, including Finger 99 and Brain 99, in 2024. Additionally, three more games are currently in development for a 2025 release.

Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by Gyeonggi Content Agency and KINTEX, the 2024 PlayX4 B2B event will showcase new releases and experiences from domestic and international game companies under the theme “More than the Fun of Games.” The event will also feature side programs such as a retro market, e-sports competitions, and cosplay events.
