Ares Games and and Albi Czech Republic announce a partnership for the distribution of the English edition of the new Albi’s games worldwide (excluding Europe), starting with Dirt & Dust, a rally-themed strategy game that blends deck-building and dice-placement, due to be released in September 2025.
Albi Czech Republic is one of the biggest domestic manufacturers of board games, greeting cards, gift items and gift wrappings in the Czech Republic. Its portfolio includes globally successful titles such as “Karak” and “Tea Garden.”
Designed by Petr Čáslava, co-creator of “Kutná Hora,” Dirt & Dust is a game about rally, but it is not a racing game: it delivers an adrenaline-fueled rally experience, with strategy meeting speed. Players (1 to 4) start with a basic action deck and a unique pilot, then acquire more cards throughout the game to tune their vehicle and improve performance. They must manage suspension settings, adjust tire pressure, and tweak the differential. Actions are activated based on which dice slot they are linked to, and driving style choices - fast or cautious - further impact the effects of each card. Each choice matters as pilots push the limits, balancing precision and risk in pursuit of victory.
