Alan Wake 2: When you can play, and what you need to play it (on PC)

As of this writing, Alan Wake 2 is only a week away. We’re all excited to get it in hand, and Remedy Entertainment has graciously told us when that will be. Also, we now know what specs you’ll need on PC for the best performance, and beyond a beefy GPU, it all seems pretty reasonable. Graphics Preset – Medium

Resolution – 1080p or 1440p

FPS – 30fps or 60fps

GPU – GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 or GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT

VRAM – 8 GB

DLSS/FSR2 – Balanced or Performance

CPU – Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent

RAM – 16 GB

OS – Windows 10/11 64-bit

Storage – 90 GB SSD

Ultra

Graphics Preset – High

Resolution – 2160p

FPS – 60fps

GPU – GeForce RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 7800

VRAM – 12 GB

DLSS/FSR2 – Performance

CPU – Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent

RAM – 16 GB

OS – Windows 10/11 64-bit

If you want to take advantage of ray tracing, you’ll need at least an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT graphics card just for the low end. Higher will require an RTX 4070 or better.
