Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes PC Version Impressions – Great for PC gamers and streamers

Galaxy of Heroes is a free to play mobile game from EA featuring an assortment of Star Wars characters from both Canon and Legends backgrounds. The game has been around since 2015 and I’ve been playing it on mobile since the Rogue One / Rebels updates. Since 2015 we’ve seen new raids, characters, game modes and more. Now, EA has released the ability to play Galaxy of Heroes on PC through the EA App. Let’s see what the PC version has to offer!

I want to begin by saying my experience is that of a returning player with a linked account to my mobile version. Linking took a matter of seconds as the only thing you’ll need to do is link your mobile account to your EA App account. I loved the ease of this, as with some games you have to link, there’s an entire drawn out process just to make it work. This is quick and easy.

Something I personally encountered however, was a high level of loading times the first time trying to play through the game on PC due to the game having to load everything you had from your game previously. For instance, I wanted to take a look at my characters, but each one had its own load time of about 10 seconds. While I do have a lot of characters, it was kind of a hassle to get through 5-6 characters before that load time decreased and eventually went away. Since then, I’ve not had trouble, but for returning players, be ready to sit around a little bit for every game mode and section to load.

The port itself looks beautiful! The characters look clean and the UI has been made to fit the screen you’re using. While my PC is not the most powerful, everything in the game looks better than my iPhone or iPad versions of the game. The game modes all run smoothly and each character action looks unique and high quality.

The biggest positive for me about the PC port is that every single thing that is currently in the mobile version is now in the PC version including the brand new Battle of Naboo raid that celebrates The Phantom Menace’s anniversary. Having everything from the get-go will really make things easy for people who would rather play Galaxy of Heroes on their PC rather than their phones or tablets!

This port will be perfect for streamers of Galaxy of Heroes. I used to watch a lot of different streamers to get tips and tricks and they would have to work really hard just to get the game on the computer so they could stream it. EA has made their lives easier by making it right there on the app and looking great. If I was a streamer of Galaxy of Heroes, I would be very happy with the end result.

Myself, I think I’ll probably still play the game 90% of the time on mobile, but if I’m at my computer and want to get my daily’s done real quick, I have the PC version there for me.
