Origins Game Fair 2026 is upon us and we got the opportunity to hang out with Allplay and check out three unreleased games that will be featured in their upcoming crowdfunding campaign.

Imps

Players try to take out and move cubes into their enemy's castle with the help of some monster friends.

First up we have Imps. Imps is a head-to-head mancala game where the mancala pieces have special powers and giant monsters march down the board. Players score points by taking out Imps and invading the other player's castle. Players also draft two monster tokens with variable powers that can score big points if they can march down the board.

Monsters have variable passive and active powers that can be used throughout the game.

It took us a couple of turns to wrap our heads around the strategy on this one, but once we figured it out the different Imp powers started to make a lot more sense. There is room for some really clever play in Imps and the big chunky monster meeples are amazing.

Wild Berries

Players will draft one or two different berries to their bowl each turn.

Next, we moved over to WILD BERRIES (I’m told you have to shout the name as loud as you can). WILD BERRIES is a pretty simple set collection drafting game with colored marbles representing different bits of cereal that you collect into your bowl.

Berries are worth different points at the end depending on the goal cards.

Each of the colored marbles all have different scoring conditions or negative effects. For example, the player with the most orange “Thornberries” earns five points at the end of the game whereas every two “sour” yellow berries loses you three. It comes with variable scoring cards and bonuses to mix it up each game. It plays incredibly fast and would be a great filler option between bigger games on game night.

Kabuto Sumo Dice

Dice are chucked into an arena trying to flip player beetles and get specific number combos.

Last but not least was our personal favorite of the new releases, Kabuto Sumo Dice. Two to five players take turns chucking dice, I mean really throwing them, into the box to try and flip over the other players beetles and roll the right number combo to knock them out of the game.

Kabuto Sumo Dice plays up to 5 players and has various special bugs to power up your game.

Add in special bug powers like the Dung Beetle, who drops a poop ball from whatever height the controlling player wants, or Tarantula Spider who adds a chunkier dice to chuck around, as well as other interesting powers and it makes for a really fun time. Get five players around the table and the chaos really ensues.

All three games will go live on Allplay's upcoming Kickstarter launching July 7th, 2026. Check out the landing page here.
