Your chicken dinner got a whole lot larger, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds introduces cross platform play

If you’re an Xbox or PlayStation fan that wants to get a bigger chicken dinner, you’re in luck! PUBG Corporation announced that its 4.3 update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is now live for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and finally allows cross platform play between both consoles. In addition to the ability to play with more people, the developer has also added a new progression system as well as new crate weapon.

PUBG Corporation has released its latest update to live console servers! Update 4.3 introduces cross platform play to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users. Players from both consoles are now able to join in the same matchmaking pool and face off on the Battlegrounds for the first time ever.

Update 4.3 also brings a new method of tracking progression in the form of Survival Mastery, which rewards players for their survival skills in each match. A detailed review of each combat encounter can also be viewed to see how they and their squadmates performed across the battle. Survival Mastery also introduces the PUBG ID, a new way to show your survival accomplishments when interacting with other players! Customize your name plate, emblems, and even your character’s pose to make your PUBG ID completely unique to you.

Also in Update 4.3 is a brand new crate weapon, the double-barrelled, pump-action, DBS shotgun. Holding 14 shells and able to fire off two shots per second, the DBS will be essential in late-game close quarters combat.
