XSEED Games and Marvelous! have confirmed that the remake of the 2003 GameBoy Advance title, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town will be coming to North America. Japanese fans will be able to head back to the farm on October 17th, 2019, but everyone else will have to wait a little longer. XSEED has confirmed it will be coming to North America under the franchise’s new title of Story of Seasons, but has not announced a release date.
The original game is largely considered the best Bokujō Monogatari game in the series, and the Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town aims to bring all the charm as well as some modern conveniences to the Nintendo Switch. All your favorite characters are back, and they have received a makeover reminiscent of Harvest Moon: Magical Melody. You’ll be able to play as male or female farmer, there are now two new, unrevealed characters for you to romance up, and there also seems to be more species of animals for you to care for. You can watch the Japanese trailer above, and keep an eye on XSEED’s website for more information.
