Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been delayed, will now be fired onto consoles on November 13th, 2018

As a late night announcement, Co-Studio Head for Toys for Bob, Paul Yan, announced via the Activision blog that the long-awaited remastered trilogy for Spyro will no longer be released in September. Fans waiting to roast some Rhynocs in glorious HD will have to wait until November to do so.

Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.

The adventure continues,

Paul Yan

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a from-the-ground-up recreation trilogy for the first three Spyro games on the original PlayStation: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Toys for Bob recently worked on the Skylanders series which initially featured a heavy focus on Spyro’s inclusion. At E3 2018, we had a chance to play the first game in the trilogy, Spyro the Dragon.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will now be released on November 13th, 2018. To see the full blog post on the announcement, visit the official Activision blog.
