Snoop Dogg returns as Call of Duty celebrates 50 years of Hip-Hop with new operators and TikTok challenge

Hip-Hop goes front and center with Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. To celebrate 50 years, some fun and exciting collabs are available for players this season. The inaugural Open Verse Challenge is happening on Call of Duty’s TikTok with surprise appearances from content creators you may know. Additionally, Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj have new operator skins available in the Call of Duty Store to purchase. Nicki is the first self-named female operator in the franchise which is great to see. Lastly, they announced Rapper 21 Savage’s operator skin will launch later this month.

Call of Duty is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop the only way it knows how….by going all in!!

Sound effects in video games are repeated hundreds of times for players and they are ingrained in their subconscious. Call of Duty leaned into this insight and produced a one-of-a-kind hip-hop inspired track featuring multiple Call of Duty in-game sound effects that crescendos together into an epic war track. The song is brought to life through the brand’s first ever Open Verse Challenge on the Call of Duty TikTok featuring a unique beat sync video and invited creators ZaehdFlawless and Kenny to drop a verse.
