Wyrmwood has just launched their newest Kickstarter with beautiful new options for players who are looking to enhance their gaming experience with beautiful dice. Wyrmwood has typically offered dice trays and dice towers but are excited about their newest offering of dice. This campaign will run through May 14, so there is plenty of time to get your hands on these gorgeous components.

What are High Variance Dice?

High Variance dice are dice that have been shifted to exaggerate extreme results, without sacrificing the overall average value of the rolls. For example, on a typical d6, you have the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The average roll is a 3.5. On a High Variance d6? 1, 1, 3, 4, 6, 6. The average roll is STILL a 3.5, however your chances of great success – or massive failure – have just doubled.
