Return to the Da’at sooner as Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance moves up its release date

Today, ATLUS announced Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, the enhanced rerelease of SMTV, is now coming out on June 14th, 2024 for Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, and Xbox. ATLUS also shared new detailes about Vengeance’s story, gameplay, characters, and new demons. For example, over the course of the story certain characters will now join the party as guests.

At the start of the game, players can choose between the original game’s plot, the Canon of Creation, or the new story, Canon of Vengeance – a dramatic tale of revenge by the fallen. While the latter follows the scenario of the base game it will diverge greatly later on. Of course, Vengeance still retains the Press Turn Battle system featured in other Shin Megami Tensei games, but players can encounter new mechanics including the aforementioned guest characters as well as consecutive encounters which will give the protagonist bonus Macca, experience points, and items.
