Planet Coaster 2 is finally here, and to celebrate a new accolades trailer has been released, which you can view above. Planet Coaster 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and expands upon what made the first Planet Coaster so exciting by allowing players to build a theme park  from the ground up, including creating and designing buildings, displays, rollercoasters, flat rides, pools, and water slides. Cambridge, UK – 6 November 2024 – Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today invites players to cut the ribbon on their next awe-inspiring theme park creations in Planet Coaster 2, available now on PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S for a suggested retail price of £39.99/$49.99/€49.99. Planet Coaster 2 greatly expands on its highly acclaimed predecessor with the introduction of spectacular water parks, comprehensive creative controls and so much more as players design a park capable of delivering unforgettable memories. For the first time, Park Managers can combine breathtaking rollercoasters and exhilarating flat rides with the shimmering sparkle of pools and water slides, creating the ultimate escape for their guests, come rain or shine!

Pushing the boundaries of players’ creativity, sprawling parks can be made unique and built from scratch with piece-by-piece construction. Park Designers can create entire buildings and displays from the ground up or customise everything from the colours and patterns of ride sections, down to the detail of adding scenery to an individual coaster car or shop front. Also new is the event sequencer tool, providing players with complete control over eye-catching effects staged across their park, from animatronics to water jets, bringing the charm of a real-world park to their own creations.

Of course, running a theme park isn’t just about the rides themselves, it takes a smooth business operation and expert management skills to develop a park’s reputation. With changing weather conditions comes the need for umbrellas or sunscreen, whilst employing lifeguards and maintaining pool cleanliness will ensure that guests can enjoy every moment in the water. When there’s a mess to be cleared or an attraction to be fixed, it’s time to call on an expanded staffing team to keep the smiles flowing and the rides running. Players can experience their parks from every angle, with new heatmaps providing an instant overview of areas to improve, whilst guest and ride cameras provide a front row seat to their thrilling creations!

Whether a theme park afficionado or fresh to the world of creative management, Planet Coaster 2 offers a plethora of ways to play; establish a glowing reputation for park management in Career mode, build from a blank canvas and customise their own challenges in Sandbox, or take their park to the very top of the leaderboards in Franchise mode. Players can find inspiration for their designs in the cross-platform Frontier Workshop, allowing individual blueprints and entire parks to be shared, or work with a friend in Franchise mode or Sandbox mode to build one-at-a-time to combine their creativity.

Park Managers can choose to further expand their offering to guests with Planet Coaster 2: Deluxe Edition, available for a suggested retail price of £54.99/$64.99/€64.99. The Deluxe Edition brings even more fun with the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack*, a collection of 10 classic attractions which have delighted crowds for decades. Whether it’s the dizzying heights of the Helter Skelter or the tight twists and turns of the iconic wooden Wild Mouse coaster, there’s delight for all ages!

*The Vintage Funfair Ride Pack is available for purchase separately at a suggested retail price of £17.99/$18.99/€18.99
