Munchkin adds another property to the card game classic with Munchkin Vox Machina - A Critical Role Game:
From the realm of Exandria comes Munchkin Vox Machina – A Critical Role Game by Steve Jackson Games, in partnership with Critical Role. In 2021, Steve Jackson Games collaborated with Critical Role to create Munchkin: Critical Role, and they’ve come together once more to develop an all-new Munchkin game based on Critical Role’s 2015 TTRPG livestream campaign – Vox Machina.
This core set uses Munchkin First Edition rules and features scores of notable characters from Vox Machina, including Thordak, Pike Trickfoot, King Murghol, Vex'ahlia, and others. Players can take on roles and be a Guardian and Take the Heat to choose to become the target of another player’s Curse. They can be a Sage and cause an Elemental Storm in order to discard a Curse and add a bonus to either side in combat. Critical Role fans will be excited to see familiar Items from the series as they wield the Mythcarve or the Rod of Mercurial Form for extra help in combat.
Inside the box are 172 Door and Treasure cards, a deluxe gameboard with seven character standies, and large character cards, plus a d6 and a d20, making it the first Munchkin game to include a 20-sided die. The Ally mechanic has returned to assist players with their characters; in this set, they are known as Guest Stars.
