Miitomo has 4 million active users, generates $40k in revenue daily

Miitomo, Nintendo’s first smartphone app, has been available on iOS and Android for about a month now, and according to SurveyMonkey, the Mii-based social media app has been a great success for Nintendo thus far.

SurveyMonkey reports that the app was downloaded 370,000 times every day in the last week, with two-thirds of those download numbers being on iOS, with the rest being on Android devices. Overall, Miitomo has around 4 million active users, each of which spend an average of 8 minutes a day playing on the app each day across two or three play sessions.

As of now, Miitomo is bringing in $40,000 of revenue for Nintendo each day, which SurveyMonkey states is relatively low compared to games apps like Clash Royale, but it also describes it as healthy for the app’s early days.

Miitomo is one of five mobile games Nintendo plans to release between now and 2017, all of which will be free-to-play.
