Kingdom Hearts III’s The Final Battle trailer focuses heavily on story elements, new gameplay details

Today, Square Enix debuted a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III dubbed The Final Battle trailer. This trailer focuses on more story elements such as everyone’s involvement in the fight against Xehanort as well as an appearance of familiar faces we haven’t seen up to this point.

As unexpected events began to unfold in the Disney worlds at the hands of the enemy’s dark ambitions, the heroic trio of Sora, Donald, and Goofy find adventures ahead, from aquatic battles in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean to dances with the townspeople in the Kingdom of Corona from Tangled. The new footage also showcases Stitch from Lilo and Stitch as a special “link” (summon), as well as cooking-themed Ratatouille Keyblade attacks.

In the trailer, it’s revealed that we will have the ability to play as Riku as Lea and Kairi talk about training, hinting that we may be able to play as them as well down the line. We’re also given a taste of the opening theme composed by Hikaru Utada and Skrillex.

Kingdom Hearts III will finally be released on January 29th, 2019. Stay tuned to Gaming Trend as we have more information on this title as we approach its release date.
