It's finally here! Assassin's Creed Valhalla adds New Game+ and more

Available after completing the Holy Day Quest

Today, Ubisoft finally added Assassin's Creed Valhalla's most requested feature: New Game+! After completing the Holy Day Quest in the Hamtunscire region, you can start the game from the beginning while keeping most of your gear, levels, and other progression. However, each time you NG+, the game will get harder and harder.

In a New Game+ playthrough, if you get a piece of gear or interact with a book of knowledge that you already own, you'll receive a piece of Mithril, a new resource added with The Most Requested Update. This material gives you more ways to continue your adventure in the endgame. You can also acquire Mithril in Nilfheim and in Mastery and River Raid shops.

The Most Requested Update is also adding new resources and upgrade abilities previously only available in the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC. First, looting Carbon, Nickel, and Tungsten in a Wealth Chest will now give a Platinum ingot instead. Second, you can now upgrade your gear to Divine quality, and Divine gear can now be upgraded to level 27 – though you'll need plenty of the new Mithril resource to do it. These additions give you the chance to level up your gear in exciting ways, even without owning Dawn of Ragnarok.
Looking over the horizon
Progression Update

Assassin's Creed Valhalla now offers an Enhanced Progression Mode option. Completely optional, it makes your gear, runes, and masteries contribute to your overall Power score. With enhanced progression mode enabled, you'll also find stronger challenges and reward curve.

To help you reach new levels of power, The Most Requested Update is adding the new Stash system, which is a new way to sort and organize your gear and runes. Now, in Ravensthorpe, you'll find the newly installed Stash which, when you interact with it, will allow you to store any piece of gear and any rune from your inventory.

The Rune Forge has also been updated, now allowing you to upgrade runes in exchange for silver from a tab in the menu. Additionally, you can now upgrade runes to a Superior level, which is a new tier that can only be obtained from the upgrade page. As with high-level gear upgrades, upgrading your rune to a Superior level will require Mithril instead of silver, but it allows you to obtain even more power from these bonus items.

The update also added over 300 engravable runes to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, allowing you to engrave all perks that have been added since the game's release. As long as you acquire a weapon or an entire armor set, you'll find the set of armor and weapon in the engrave menu, and you'll be able to add its perks to a rune for silver. This allows you to experiment with many different perk combinations, giving you new levels of control and creativity in your loadout builds.

Snacks fit for Odin —Asassin’s Creed Valhalla Review
The reign of kings has come to Norway. The Jarls of the land have all decided to place their fealty in the hands of one man. This causes a split in the Raven Clan, with some accepting the new rule while most follow their former prince to greener pastures: England.

AC Valhalla is my personal favorite game in the series, so I can't wait to dive back in! For more on all things Assassin's Creed, stay tuned to GamingTrend.
