Today via social media, Bethesda Game Studios shared updates and even some new official announcements on games they've been working on.

First is an update on Starfield, assuring players that Bethesda is still dedicated to expanding the Settled Systems with gameplay improvements, new quests, and even a Starborn expansion coming next year. They then shift focus to their Creations service, highlighting the dedication of their players to create mods ever since the Morrowind Construction Set, with Creators earning more than $10 million in royalties from their work.

Next up is Fallout. Fallout 5 has entered pre-production, but it still a long ways off. In the meantime, Fallout 76 will continue to receive updates, including an expansion next year that's a prequel to Fallout 3 titled Raven Rock. Fallout 4 celebrates its 10th anniversary and over 35 million copies sold.

What the rumor mill has been spinning since Oblivion Remastered was also confirmed via this post, as Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are both receiving remasters at some point in the future, with Bethesda and Obsidian teaming up for another brand new Fallout project in the future. Fallout Shelter continues to be popular and profitable, and an unscripted project for television is now in the works with Amazon Studios and Kilter Films. Additionally Fallout Season 3's production is already underway. Sadly a traditional Fallout Day broadcast will not be hosted this year, but they are planning something for the series 30th anniversary in 2027 which will happen live and in person in Washington, D.C.

Goodsprings in Fallout: New Vegas

Moving on to The Elder Scrolls, ZeniMax Online Studios is partnering with Bethesda Game Studios to continue support of The Elder Scrolls Online, with new content planned for the future. The Elder Scrolls VI (and Fallout 5) are currently being built using Creation Engine 3, which continues to be improved upon even after Starfield. TES VI is currently the team's primary project, with the post acknowledging that it's been a long wait since Skyrim 15 years ago.

The next chapter is on the way. We’re where we planned to be, loving how it looks, and playing it every day.

The post then ends on a note of reiterating that Bethesda Game Studios is dedicated to building the future of Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and Starfield. They're investing in their technology, bringing teams closer together, supporting live games, expanding into other forms of entertainment, and building the next generation of Bethesda RPGs.

This news comes in the wake of massive layoffs across Xbox as a whole and unionized protests occurring at the studios themselves across the country, with laid off and current developers as well as fans participating. Hundreds showed up to just the Rockville headquarters for the Save Our Devs rally.
