A new accessible TCG by Wizards of the Coast coming June 1st

Mood Swings is a love letter to TCG's 28 years in the making.

A new accessible TCG by Wizards of the Coast coming June 1st

The head designer of Magic: The Gathering, Mark Rosewater, has a new TCG for everyone coming June 1st. Mood Swings has been a pet project of his for 28 years! That's a long time, but it is nice to see the game come to light. Mood Swings comes in a randomized 45-card deck that allows two people to play a 1v1 game with a race to see who can win three rounds first. You do this by having the highest card values at the end of each round. The game is simple, but clever, meaning everyone can play right away. It's still a TCG as there are card rarities and players can trade to their hearts' content. Magic: The Gathering fans will recognize the sketch artwork on the cards as some of the most iconic artwork from across the game. The game will go on sale on the Secret Lair website on June 1st. You can check out the full announcement here, the extended rules, and other ways to play Mood Swings.
